Valentines day is slowly approaching. If your like most people, then you usually wait till last minute to start planning and that
can cost you a lot of money. Here are a few tips on how to stay away from the usual chocolate, flowers and jewelry. Not only are these gifts very common but they can be very expensive. Don’t turn this holiday into a “How much did I spend” affair. Here are some tips to get a serious bang, without the serious bucks.
Make Dinner – Nothing says I love you more then actually taking the time to decorate the house and cook a candle lit dinner. Think about it as your own v.i.p. section in a restaurant where nobody is allowed to enter. Set up the ambience in the house with some candles (Make sure you don’t burn it down), burn some sweet smelling incense, and cook your lover a sexy meal.
Write A Poem – Ok, so not everyone is a poet. You can however write down all the qualities you like about your loved one. Make a nice long laundry list of how you appreciate everything they have done for you and stick it in a sexy card. Not only will this wow the other person, but it show’s you took time to prepare it for them.
Take A Walk – Why go to a noisy place to spend time with your lover. Valentines day should be enjoyed with some one on one time. What about a nice walk on the waterfront. You can stop at a coffee shop to warm up and spend the night talking about all the things your really appreciate about your loved one.
Make a Gift – Anyone can go in a store and purchase a gift. It takes a lot more effort to actually make one. Does your lover like chocolate? Maybe you can bake them a chocolate cake, or some brownies. How about a gift certificate for a massage, that you give? Draw up a fake gift certificate on the computer for a massage. Then take the time to setup a nice area to deliver the backrub with some wine and some candles lit. This will truly turn up the romantic flames.
Live Music – You can almost always find a local dive that has some live music, especially around Valentines Day. Try to stay away from the overpriced places. Try something new for a change. Maybe that local band that’s doing a free show at the bar might be worth checking out. There’s no need to pop a bottle of champagne and you might even be able to slip in a little dancing.
These are all low budget ways to not only save money, but impress your lover while doing it. There is nothing sexier then someone that knows how to save their money. So this Valentines Day plan ahead, get creative, and really deliver that gift that they want, YOU!
